I built this car to replicate the performance of a 60's trans-am race car, but street legal. In place of the 5 liter motors used in the old racers, I simply increased displacement 50%, which with pretty much matches the race engines power, but with more torque. Suspension mods and modern brakes and tires, plus an extra gear don't hurt either. I've got about 10,000 miles on the car as is, including over 6,000 in 2000 on the hot rod power tour, San Berdoo CA. to Panama City Beach Florida, and back via the Gulf coast to Colorado and home through Utah and Ariz. I call it a '68 Trans Am Prototype. Hey, there had to be one.
