I purchased my 2001 Firebird Formula brand new directly from the factory through a government service while over seas on active duty for the US Marines in Nov 2000. Picked her up for the 1st time Mar 27th 2001 in Virginia and drove her back home to NJ that day. I couldnt contain myself and I kept waiting for every toll booth for the excuse to open her up upon exiting lol. My girl saw active duty as my DD till sept of 2005 when I purchased my Cobalt SS as the new DD and put her away with 105,000 miles. Then the modding actually began in 2006. She got repainted black with a new aftermarket functional ram air hood. She got new shoes in the form of 18 inch chrome wheels on BFG's, and all new sport suspension. After attending my 1st show in 2007 and looking like every other Firebird I decided to set her apart with a new custom flame job with the Phoenix on the hood. I also added a new custom interior with a 1000 watt sound system to comeplete it. In 08 she got a new mild custom cam and ported the throttle body and intake. For 2009 she got a new wings west 5 piece spoiler kit, new Chrome rims, all new custom sound system, and an STS Turbo pumping out 500 RWHP with 530 Torque on 6 pounds of boost conservatively. I redid all the suspension components adding air bags to the rear with new strano springs, with adjustable shocks. She is completely dialed in now and running beautiful and can easily do an SCCA road course. Hope you guys like for the next mods coming is the building of the motor to handle the full power of this turbo which is capable of 700 RWHP easily.
