This 1989 GTA was originally an L98 automatic car with t-tops and tan leather interior. With minor bolt ons it went 13.70 at 99mph. After purchasing my first TTA, #861, and getting it to run 11.9 at almost 113mph with under $1,000 worth of modifications I decided I had to put one in this car and turn it up a little. This car now has a warmed over 1989 TTA V6 with a 70mm turbo backed by a TH400 trans and a 3.42 geared 12 bolt rear. It has been together scince 2002 and with a safe tune has run a best of 10.504 at 128.89mph and a best 60ft of 1.476 on DOT tires at 3650lbs raceweight while being driven to and from the track with the only track changes being a switch to race fuel. It may not be the fastest car on the street or strip but it's so much fun to drive I wouldnt have it any other way.
