I have owned this car since 1988 and have had it in this restoration state since 93,Presently has a 350/350 chevy powertrain.I am soon going to make it All Pontiac with a fresh   1975 455/400  I hope to have the 455 installed soon,Before the snow flies.I will post some updated pics. Update 16/11/08 Well we finally got the 455 installed...It wasnt an easy swap . Special thanks goes to Darcy Mcormack, who made it all possible. All thats left is to have the exhaust hooked up,and probably iron out a few bugs.Ill include a few pics of darcy's very cool & fast 55 chevy... Update.17/11/08 I got the exhaust hooked up today and had a chance to take it for a ride. Its a great improvement over the tired chev 350.The Pontiac 455 runs and sounds real nice, and i see what they mean about Pontiac Power .Well The car is in storage now for the winter and we'll do what left of the swap in the spring. Update 22/08/09,Most of the swap is now complete..The latest was to have the custom fan shroud  fabricated,it was patterned from a 62 impala 409 shroud,so it looks stock.hopefully this will keep the 455 from running too hot!

I was to referring to when I owned the car back in '83.....He must have had connections then to get it through the ON safety check.....The frame was shot....It could not have passed the ON safety check in the state he sold it to me....

That was really tough on me to sell it..
I really liked that car...There's nothing like a ragtop....
I am so glad it was saved....If it had not had the work you put into it, it would have gone to the crap heap....

I have a '59 Impala now, and this time vowed that I never would own another car that needed major work to be done....My car came from Victoria.....I actually could unbolt parts off it....incredible!

Once again congrats on saving that '62....One of my co-workers named it the "Bondo Bucket" in '83....It has come a long....long way!

...First of all FinFan59...When you owned this car..it was a tired rusty old pontiac ,complete with flintstone floor boards,Since then it has gone through a complete frame off restoration... Probably over a thousand hours of labour and many thousands $$$ invested...so it was no problem to pass the Ontario saftey check. It was no easy task to bring this car to the state its in today, but well worth it !!...CRuzn

I got a kick out of seeing my old Pontiac again....
It arrived on the evening of Feb. 10 1983 at the Canadian Auto Carrier site on Waterloo across from the EMO bldg... my wife's 24th BD.....I can still see it now on top of the hauler....

It was purchased from a salesman-Doug Sullivan at George Stockfish Ford in North Bay...

I sold it around '87, but cannot be sure....I think it sat at an auto body shop in TB for a few years....

At that time it had a white passenger door and a black driver's door from a '62 Bonneville. I bought those parts from Windy Hill Auto Parts in New London, MN...
I also hauled home a qtr. panel from the black '62 Bonneville....learned quickly that it was not going to fit...

Sadly the frame on the car sucked....I had some repair worked done, but it was in pretty bad shape...
I wondered how it ever passed the ON safety....guess the guy I bought it from had "connections"....

The 261 was not the best engine for that car, and it was pretty "tired".....Nice to see the car "alive and well"

That car originated in St, Catherines,ON.....so I was told....

I now have a '59 Impala, but miss that ol' ragtop....

Nice Canadian ride, noticed the Ontario plates. Where in ON? I'm in Brockville, Johnnyb233 is in Smith's Falls and Kel007 is in Ottawa. Nice to see clean strong Pontiacs from around home.
