This is a 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans tube chassis drag car. This is originally from California. Still had the original 1963 California plates on it! My wife and I took this project on nearly 5 years ago. It is a full tube chassis car. Made of mild steel, certified for 8.50 1/4 mile E.T.'s! Only thing fiberglass on this LeMans is the hood by VFN. Powered by a 455 Pontiac, bored out to a 462. Total weight is 2,300 to 2,500 pounds (includes full tank and driver). It will make it's race debut at Rolling Thunder Drag Strip in Pacific Junction, Iowa in 2008! See you all in 2008 at the Pontiac events!
